HI All,
Those of you who have been following the recent updates on my career know that I will be taking my physique to the INBA Natural Mr. Olympia. To say I am pumped to represent my country at the Super Bowl of Natural Bodybuilding is and understatement.
What’s even crazier is that 4 months ago I had no idea I would be going to the show.
You see I had been retired to focused on my websites and writing commitments, however, at the last minute I won the Canadian qualifier for the show and then had about 3 months to get ready for the big dance.
While I am ready and today I will finish up my last workout from The Muscle Mastery course and hop on a plane tomorrow bound for the contest stage on more time.
It’s been 20 years since I first started training and it feels almost surreal that I will be sharing the stage one more time with the best Natural Bodybuilders’ in the world. You can bet I plan on having a terrific time and taking in every second as I realize how hard it is to even to qualify for the show and how rare it is to get an opportunity to compete on the world stage.
You can bet I will do my best to represent my country and Freaky Big Naturally to the best of my ability.
I would also like to add 20 years ago I was a skinny kid with a tiny weight set in a cold barn in Canada. While I spun my wheels for many years before I stumbled upon the principles of building a world class physique I can honestly say you don’t have to. While everyone’s physical potential varies I can honestly say NO ONE would have predicted that I would represent my country at a World Championships in Bodybuilding. It just goes to show even if you have lousy genetics, a big dream, a strong will, and a proven training system like Freaky Big Natural or Muscle Mastery can take you way farther than you might imagine.
Remember, don’t let anyone steal your dreams.

Not everybody who enrolls into a body building program becomes a body builder. This is because it takes a tremendous amount of patience, commitment and discipline in order to succeed. Many take up the challenge of undergoing a body building program just to while their time away, or to look good for a date
How to Make the Best of a Body Building Program
Everyday I get all kinds of questions from individuals who wish to get bigger or leaner and most of them are making the same mistake.
They are simply focusing on Trivial aspects of diet or exercise without developing a Big Picture Plan.
The lack of a big picture, makes everything so complicated, and gets bodybuilders stuck in the Dance of Delusion in the Land of Confusion drifting from supplement to supplement or program to program or expert to expert. This can go on for decades and believe me I have seen it happen.
I am going to illustrate this with a question I fielded on the Muscle Mastery boards today to illustrate the point. Hopefully you will see if you are doing the same thing in your training or diet. If you not big picture oriented you will have a very challenging time trying to achieve your goals because you tend to focus on details instead of concepts or visions. Big visions always lead to big success. It’s not that details are not important, it’s that they have no meaning unless you set the goal. The goal determines meaning for the details and allow for correction over time as well as it facilitates learning.
Okay enough philosophy… heres the question and my answer. I welcome your comments. Notice how I answer the real problem not the perceived problem in this fellow’s question.
Question:
hey all just a question that i wanted to ask for long, would i still manage to grow from eating the same meal repeated throughout the day? cause a meal will consist of peanut butter sandwich, small salad with tomato cucumber sprouts and more, 1 orange, and usually 2 bananas with 3 enzymes. another meal would be 2 eggs with two slices of bread, and salad with the same amount of fruit with 2-3 enzymes. sometimes i might add avocado kiwi fruit apples and more. but my main concern is will i still have a weight loss while getting bigger? thanks
Here’s my answer:
(Name left out), again your exhausting energy into the hypothetical. Your question is obscure, full of contrasts, and not based on results.
I am not trying to criticize you merely point out that follow one of the diets as laid out in the book, and simply adjust the calories every two weeks until your improving your lean body mass ratio at a steady pace. What you really need to do is start believing in yourself and your abilities.
Decide on a weight you want to be at a given body fat percentage say 200 pounds at 10 percent fat. Simply train as hard as possible and don’t miss workouts, program your mind with the psychodynamic bodybuilding CD to leverage your subconscious, and eat like a horse. Once you get your body weight over the desired amount then adjust your diet to lean out to the desired body fat percentage.
Let’s say your currently 180 at 20 percent. That means your Lean Body Mass is 154lbs and you have 36 pounds of fat.
If your goal is 200 pounds at 10 percent your Lean Body Mass would be 180lbs of Lean Body Mass.
This means you need to add 26 pounds of muscle and drop 16 pounds of Fat.
It’s been my experience that getting leaner is way easier than putting on muscle. So to reach your goals as quickly as possible I would suggest you HIt the 5 or 6 Day foundation for the next 6 months and eat everything in sight while loading up on Masszymes and Precision Pro-biotics to get your digestive and metabolic systems optimized.
If you doing everything right it will probably take you 6 months to make the half way point ie. 210lbs at 20 percent which would put you at 169 lbs of LBM with 41 pounds of fat. At this stage perform and Endless Growth routine for 12-16 weeks and follow a strict diet as outlined in the cutting diets. You could then get your body to around 180 at 10 percent which would give you a 162 lbs of LBM, and 18 pounds of fat.
At this stage you could go back on the foundation until you cracked the the 225lb mark with a bodyfat percentage of 20 percent or less. This would mean your LBM would be over 180 pounds. Again follow a diet and an endless growth routine to get your body fat down to 10 percent at 200 pounds.
So if you performed 6 months Foundation, 3 months Endless growth, 6 months Foundation 3 months endless growth the whole process would take you a year and half which is really fast.
At that stage you could move over to a Muscle Mastery program or continue the cycle up and down until your ultimate size and definition is reached.
Also I would recommend at this stage a cycle diet as outlined in the course.
So you see how you need to think about the Big Picture first as opposed to sticky details. Once the Big picture is clear, the details become apparent, and you simply adjust your actions as you go along.
Unfortunately, for most they do just the opposite. Building a Big Picture is paramount to your success in this game or any other. So start visualizing this now instead of focusing on little details.
Extra note:
This question was posted on how to get leaner section but in reality getting leaner or getting bigger are very obscure statements that stall results. Clearly define what you want. It was obvious me that this individual wanted to bigger and leaner but had conflicting statements and therefore conflicting results in his training.
So to be successful I simply laid out a formula. While rarely do things go exactly as mapped out, setting definable goals and ways of measuring them gives a person markers to show progress. This then builds confidence as over time one sees one self progressing to there goals. Small improvements are noticed over time, adjustments can be made, and programs and diet can be optimized.
This is why Bodybuilders at the highest level can routinely gain or lose 20-30 pounds in just a few months. The reason is they have learned how to optimize their diet and training to get bigger or to get leaner. While the same possibilities are available to the novice and the advanced athlete the novice has no experience therefor lacks confidence and know-how to get the job done. The advanced bodybuilder has been there and done and that and achieves the goals easily because of the combination of experience and belief.
If your a novice leverage the experience and belief of an advanced bodybuilding mentor and your results will triple. Again though this all about thinking big vs thinking small.

HI Everyone,
Just wanted to give a quick update as I am now just 24 days away from the Natural Mr. Olympia and I wanted to give everyone a head’s up to some bodybuilding breakthrough’s that I have made in the last 6 weeks.
Due to the limited time of my preparations for the show I recognized I had to break all my previous mental constructs about what is possible for training and recovery. After I assessed my physique after my wins at the INBA Canadian IVKAR Cup Nationals I realized that I needed to make some major improvements to stand up against the worlds best at the INBA Natural Mr. Olympia.
Basically I needed to bigger, and leaner and in record time… perhaps that sounds familiar?
So I took a hard look at the Muscle Mastery Course which I recently released with Matt Gallant and concentrated on how I could tweak these principles and basically compress time. Here’s what I came up with.
Instead of training my whole body once per week or even twice, I decided to train it 3 times per week.
I split my workouts in to a double split routine, training legs and shoulders superset fashion in the morning, Arms and abs in the evening, then the second day is Sprinting on the rebounder in the morning and chest, back and calves in the afternoon. I repeat the cycle and take a day off when my body is really tired usually every 4th or fifth day.
Volume is extremely high as I do between 35-40 sets per workout rep ranges from 12-4 with the rep cycling program as outlined in the Muscle Mastery course.
I am also pounding loads of ionized water and huge amount of MassZymes, Precision Probiotics, and hemp protein. My diet is very bear bones with hemp, apples, and hemp oil as the main staple with a salad thrown in once a day. I will eat some more complex carbs every 3-4 days to keep energy levels high and my muscles full.
I also see my chiropractor once every 2 weeks, and add a massage in there every two weeks plus a host of vitamins, minerals, Vitamin C and super nutrients to fuel my training. Although my diet is very low in Calories it’s so nutrient dense I have plenty of energy for intense bodybuilding workouts.
The results.
I am up 8.5 pounds since the my show and I am way leaner. This of course is remarkable gains that have even surpassed my wildest expectations. With just over 3 weeks left for the show I hope to add a couple more pounds of muscle and take off another 2-4 pounds of fat to come in razor sharp for the big day.
So what’s the bottom line… Basically after 20 years of training I broke past all previous records because I through out what was possible and reached for the impossible. I firmly believe this mental approach has been a key component in the results. The funny thing is it took this long to get to point where I was willing to let go what I know to discover something I didn’t. That’s the beauty of surrendering to the impossible. I suggest you do the same in your workouts and see what you can achieve!
The critical factor to becoming Freaky Big Naturally is revealed.
The-Key-To-Becoming-Freaky-Big-Naturally
High performance training is a bit like running a race car and you run the machine right on the edge of the RPM band going around the track.
To quote a line out of the Dukes Hazzard, “Sometimes you make the curve and learn, and sometimes you crash and burn”.
Well last week I pushed my body to RED LINE and blew it out a bit.
Let me explain.
Since I have only had a few months to prepare for the INBA Natural Olympia in Thessaloniki, Greece I have upped my training to the absolute physical limits. I have been training the body over two days which include a 4 workouts in 48 hours. These workouts are out of the Muscle Mastery Training System.
Now normally I would perform one of these workouts per day training 4-6 days per week but because of the circumstances and some new technology that allows for faster recovery I tripled the training. So I now training Legs and shoulders in the morning, Arms and calves in the evening. The next day I do sprints on the Cellerciser and then I hit chest, back and abs in the second workout. I then repeat the sequence only taking rest days when feel I need them. Well the results have been phenomenal training this much has it’s drawbacks.
My eyes have blown out twice and the last couple of days were the worst ever as I experienced excruciating pain from Nervous systems overload. Basically everybody has a part that goes on them when they enter into the overtraining/under recovery zone. While it’s okay to go over the limit for specific periods to induce nervous system capacity increases it’s a not a good idea to maintain those high levels of training stress for extended periods.
So the last couple of days I reduced the training to once a day until my eyes healed. Which today they are about 90 percent… no pain, just a bit of blurred vision on one side. So I upped the dosage of MassZymes to 100, drank lots of extra ionized water and increased my calories and nutrient consumption for two days to get myself out of the REDLINE zone of over-training.
I am feeling good enough to go back at again twice a day so on Monday that’s what I am going to do. Two more days of once a day training, plus light rebounding, and then full on the throttle during the next straight stretch. While there are a couple of more turns before I get to the Natural Olympia back stretch you can bet I’ll be taking the Wade Wagon to the limits over the coming weeks!
It sure is a lot of fun to pushing the limits again as it’s been almost 4 years since I went to the Mr. Universe in Mumbai. I never thought I would be back onstage at the World level again let alone training at this level of intensity and volume. What’s interesting is the integrations I made during the development of the Muscle Mastery Training System has really changed what’s possible for Natural Athletes. 4 years ago I did not know it was possible to train this much as a Natural Athlete yet thanks to Masszymes, Precision Probiotics, Hemp Protein, and Ionized water, combined with the Muscle Mastery Training System new ground is being broken.
Whatever the outcome in Greece is I will be bringing the best physique I have every put on stage and that’s what it’s all about in the End. Be sure to check out The Experiment coaching call if you haven’t already to get my latest integrations and experiences as I push the limits of my training during this contest preparations.
Wow, Last night was our first coaching session for “The Experiment” and boy was it a lot of fun. We addressed everyone’s diet and supplementation program and even got into the psychology of training and nutrition. Almost 2 whole hours of my favorite topic super nutrition!!!!
As for me my own training has gone to the next level. Currently I am double splitting the training so I train my entire body over 3 sessions in a 48 hour period. I also include sprinting on the cellerciser which is just flat our fun. Not to mention does this kind of volume in training every get you ripped!!!
I sure need to put in the extra effort as I will be going up against the best Natural Bodybuilders in the World at the INBA Mr. Olympia. I am opening up a challenge to all of you who are training hard to take you training and diet to the next level. Perform more volume, get more strict on the diet, and join our coaching team in the experiment. If you can’t afford the program I understand you can at least join in spirit. I’ll try to send an “energetic” burst out in my blog after each week’s coaching session. Hopefully that will be enough to give you an extra push in your training.
